Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water: This planter has no drainage hole. Change out the water weekly. Once stems develop large root system, the plan can be changed over to soil.
Humidity: Monstera appreciates above-average humidity; a light mist or an occasional wipe-down of the leaves helps keep them glossy and dust-free.
Growth: New leaves will emerge with more of the deep splits and holes (fenestration) monstera develops as it matures. Stems grow upright rather than trailing, so no trimming is needed to maintain the shape.
