Queensland Bottle Tree Living Centerpiece
The Queensland Bottle Tree Living Centerpiece is a young bottle tree with moss in a low charcoal bowl, planted by hand in Apex, NC.
The bottle tree is one of Australia’s most recognizable trees, a landmark of the Queensland landscape. Mature trees grow a swollen, bottle-shaped trunk that stores water through long dry seasons, and they stand out across the countryside for it. This one is just starting out: a single slim stem with long, narrow leaves fanning out, each with a pale center vein. A mound of green moss sits at its base over a top dressing of bark. Given bright light and time, the trunk begins to thicken at the base.
Plant: Bottle tree
Vessel: Low charcoal bowl
Finish: Bark top dressing, mound moss
Included: Plant, bowl, top dressing, and moss. Ready to display.
