This is the vase for people who believe less is more. Carved from a single piece of coastal New England granite or beach stone, then hand-finished in Maine, it comes with a built-in stainless steel pin frog set into its opening — so it's ready to hold stems. No floral foam, no wire, no rigging. Just stone and pin, doing exactly what they're meant to do.
The pin frog holds a stem upright at whatever angle you choose. Cut on the diagonal, press onto the pins, and the stem stays put — even a single bloom or bare branch will hold its line. This is the mechanic behind true ikebana practice: rather than filling a vessel, you're composing with the space around each stem as much as the stem itself.
The stone's natural weight keeps it grounded on a table, shelf, or windowsill with no additional support needed. Use it wet for fresh cuts, or dry for dried botanicals and preserved stems.
Every stone is different — expect natural variation in shape, color, and surface texture from piece to piece. That variation is the point.
